Birthday Baneblade Bonanza!

So I just had my birthday, and happily some friends clubbed together to get me a present! How nice! Well aware of my chronic tank addiction, they've gone and picked me up something rather awesome: A baneblade! The thing is, I'm also well known for the glacial pace at which I get models finished - I still have a valkyrie that's only 75% stuck together from last year's birthday. I think they're trying to make some kind of joke... Or make me cry.

The image of a super heavy tank grinding forwards like some kind of unstoppable iceberg, crushing all before it beneath it's treads and smiting the Emperor's enemies from afar with batteries of heavy weapons makes me warm and fuzzy inside. I've always wanted one of these, ever since Forgeworld released their resin kit some years ago. It goes without saying I'm extremely chuffed to finally own one - a big thank you to everyone who chipped in!

So, without further ado, it's time for some miniature porn.

It's a beast of a box, measuring some 43x29 centimetres:

As you can see, it's stuffed with plastic:

I've never seen so many bits in my life - Yes that's seven (7) frames of parts!

This thing is going to be a huge project... I think I need more glue...
